SAFETY HAS TOP PRIORITY
CRANE SAFETY OVERVIEW
All employees are experienced and licensed operators. All employees undertake a safety induction and each has their competencies verified by Management before they commence work. The BSFMC Safety Plan is audited regularly to ensure it complies with the latest safety legislation and standards.
All plant is serviced and maintained in accordance with the relevant safety laws, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards.
BSFMC’s Safety Plan comprises Policies & Procedures, Safe Work Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, Hazard Reports, Toolbox Talks & Daily Pre Start Meetings. BSFMC Management has a high regard for staff consultation and cooperates with its employees on all safety issues and alerts. All jobs and tasks are assessed for potential hazards by a senior staff member prior to any work being performed and any crane or item of plant being delivered to site. All Safe Work Method Statements are prepared as task/site specific.
POLICIES & PROCEDURES
BSFMC has a wide range of Policies & Procedures which covers all aspects of the Company’s scope of works. Our Policies and Procedures provide definitions of the standards and work processes required and are enforced among all employees to ensure a high standard of workmanship and service is maintained.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
BSFMC operates a Quality Management System which complies with the requirements of ISO9001:2015 for the provision of mobile crane hire services. Certificate of Registration number QMS41985.
NATIONAL HEAVY VEHICLE ACCREDITATION SCHEME (NHVS)
All vehicles/Plant are made available for regular maintenance at the intervals as close as practicable to those prescribed by manufacturer recommended maintenance schedules. All services are conducted using the specific vehicle manufacturers servicing checklist. Roadworthy inspections are carried out Annually or when deemed necessary. The national road transport commission (NRTC) roadworthy guidelines and the provided table of tolerances and wear limits are used to assist in the determination of roadworthiness.
BSF Mobile Cranes service technicians undertaking vehicle maintenance or contracted repairer (where used) must ensure that they:

Effectively complete all maintenance requirements of the company vehicles/Plant and Equipment

Produce and maintain all required records of maintenance and repairs accredited vehicles (i.e., service history, closed out fault reports and receipts)

Coordinate and ensure the prompt repair of faults found on vehicles either during inspection or reported in the fault report book contained in the vehicles, under direction of the service manager.

Produce a record at the completion of a repair to show the fault has been rectified and tested (where appropriate).

Notify the service manager if the vehicle requires further maintenance or inspection, or if follow up work or monitoring is required

This maintenance system applies to the activities performed by BSF Mobile Cranes to ensure compliance with all standards including the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVS) maintenance module.
